Feels like a day for plugs

Tobias Kwan seems to have finally started posting to his blog. Not sure if it's gonna be a common thing but definetly check it out.

For some reason I just recently found Ben Huen's blog. Make sure to check out his life painting up in the hall now!

Hrm.. who else?

Definetly check out Sheridan Grad Elaine Bogan's stuff.

Last but not least check out the awesome work of Gobelins student Agnes Fouquart.

That's all for now!

Who knows?

I was trying to put some stuff together for the film and this came out. It's like a crazy Patrick from Spongebob with beatnick glasses. Or something.

Anyways, hope you like it, haha.

More plugs

Hey there,

I noticed that my good friend and existential asian cowboy, Sub Lee, started posting up things to his blog again.

While I'm in the plugging mood, make sure to check out Marko Bajic's blog, who also started posting some more stuff.

Hopefully this'll be a regular thing for the both of them!

Doing the switcheroo

Hey guys,

Just wanted to point out to you that I've switched this blog over to the new Blogger in Beta system. Most things are the same, the only really new thing that I'm using is labels. At the sidebar at right, there's now a categories section.

I figure it's most useful, say, if you want to see all of the videos that I've ever posted because you're looking for a specific video, check out the Videos category. Likewise, if you want to see my 80+ posts of life drawing, check out the Life Drawing section.

I hope this makes things a little more organized for you guys!

One note: There are around 370 posts on my blog so far - And I've got to categorize every single one. Suffice to say that I've only done a portion so far - I think i've got all the videos and all of the life drawing - things will fall into the cracks soon enough though!

The Orange One and the White One...

Started a new sketchbook today - with some goldfish as per Robin Hall's request.

The funny thing about goldfish is that they're the only pet that I've ever owned - and I've owned quite a few. I was never able to name them because they'd die quite quickly after they were named (dingo died after one day of receiving it's name). The last two goldfish I owned were thereby dubbed "The Orange One" and the "White One" whenever they needed to be referred to. They lasted a good 7 years until they died within one day of each other.

The goldfish I drew above are Moors - not quite what I owned but they're far more interesting to draw.

[Update] These are the drawings I did for Robin. They're post-its.

Some life...

Just some stuff from today...

Farewell Gianni...

First off, it doesn't look like Gianni is going to be in our film. I'm still going to have to animate him for an action analysis assignment, but that's the extent of his animated life.

Secondly, here are some ink drawings of him that I threw together today.

I'll be in the Royal Winter Fair on Tuesday and Thursday, so say hi if you see me around. I'll probably be using a technique similar to this, which is why I did these drawings in the first place - to try it out.

The film took another left turn. Here's some mice designs as a result of it.

Aye Carumba!

Pretty awesome. Thanks to James Higuchi for pointing this one out.

Seems like a long time.
